Vriendencamping de Wolfskuil - Founder

Organizing my own festival is something I have always wanted to do. When Covid struck and we suddenly had a lot of time on our hands, my partner in crime and I came up with an initial concept. A weekend away with friends in nature, with good music and nice people. With a do it yourself mentality. To create a place where everyone can be themselves, inclusive and open-minded. And of course as safe as possible in that first year. That's when we got started.

Fast forward to three years later and Vriendencamping de Wolfskuil has had three very successful editions. The first year we hosted our friends in the Netherlands. The other two years in Germany on an amazing camping ground in the middle of the woods. We organised an all-inclusive weekend for about 150 people where music was our central key. A line-up for three days, full organic catering and packed with energetic activities. With a killer corporate identity and all the communication tools required.

What did I do?

I have had many responsibilities during those 3 editions. First of all I've created the strategy and mission statement for our festival weekender. Next up, together with a designer, I developed the visual identity and translated it into all needed communication elements such as our Instagram account, alle mailings, a program booklet for during our weekend, decorations and everything else that needed a identity. I have done most of the production of all activities during the weekend, communicating with suppliers and other team members. I've managed the time slots for the whole weekend and was responsible for the financial management of everything. I was also responsible for the catering of the weekend, from making menus to making sure we had everything we needed to feed everybody with the best organic food and beverages one needs.

I am super proud of the end result. New friends were made and although we stopped due to personal circumstances, the request for organising a fourth weekend stays high. Who knows.
